WIC (Women, Infant and Children) and Nutrition Services
WIC is a nutrition program that helps mothers and young children eat well and stay healthy. To receive WIC you must meet the WIC income guidelines and have a need for improved nutrition. To be a participant you can be a woman who is pregnant, breastfeeding or whose pregnancy recently ended, an infant under 12 months of age or a child until he or she reaches their fifth birthday, whichever comes first. You will receive checks to buy foods, nutrition and health education, personal counseling about nutrition, support and help with breast-feeding, and referrals to other health programs for you and your family. Please call our health center and schedule an appointment or if you have any questions regarding the WIC program.
